0.9 percent of the atmosphere on earth is made up of the inflammable gas argon.
It is most frequently employed in the metal industry for the manufacture, processing, and fabrication of metal, but it can also be utilized as a pure gas for some shielding, blanketing annealing, and hot isostatic pressing (HIPing) applications. Depending on the operation and the substance, it can also be employed in a mixture with other gases, such as carbon dioxide, oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, or helium.
Due to its inert qualities, argon is used in a variety of other industries, including the glass industry (for double glazing), the food business (for removing oxygen from wine barrels), and analytical laboratories (where it is used as a carrier gas in GC and ICP-MS equipment).
